How do I repair my Hayes disc brakes on my mountain bike?
My 2002 giant xtc nrs1 came with Hayes hydraulic brakes with 6 inch rotors. How do I replace the pads and bleed the brakes? What bleed kit do I use? is it too old to be serviced?
Which bleed kit works with my brakes?
Which brake pads work with my bike?
Hayes website does not show my brake type. My brake lever reads "Hayes Comp". I cannot find that model on their website. So which pads work with it? Will the bleed kit work with this model?

Check out the Hayes website for downloads with service and bleed instructions.

your brakes are similar to hfx mag's and use the generic non-el camino brake pads:

bleeding procedure is also the same as hfx mag's. use this bleed kit:

depending on the condition of your rotors, you might consider upgrading to a new set of brakes. there's a good possibility that the master cylinder seals in your levers need replacement too.
pricepoint has new pre-bled hfx 9's for sale with rotors for $55 which warrants serious consideration for upgrading an old set of hydros
