How often is my A/C in my 1996 Intrepid supposed to cycle off and on?

I replaced the compressor and evacuated and recharged the system when I first did this it would cycle on for 3 seconds and off for 5 seconds and was not working properly. I disconnected the battery last night for 8 hours to completly reset the computer and this morning it seems to work a little better it got nice and cold on the way into work but it was only 65-70 degrees outside too. I think i need to replace the pressure switch but how long should the compressor stay on before cycling off? I have that climate control thing which I have set to 60 degrees. before I reset the computer I was getting the 33 and 35 error codes which is for the A/C Clutch relay circuit and the radiatior fan relay circuit and this morning I did not get those codes. It did give me the error for the o2 sensor which I already knew was bad. Any advice should I change the pressure switch or could it be something else? The radiator fans do switch from low to high quite often.

do you have a pressure Gage set ? you may have a clog in the system and checking your pressure readings would help you identify if you have one. while i don't condone repairs using the "parts changing technique", changing the pressure switch is an easy and cheap way to eliminate that part from being defective. try turning on front defoger with the fan speed on high, this should keep the compressor on for quite a while. if it still cycles right away then you have one of four problems, a leak, a bad pressure switch, a clog,or a bad control module.
