Brake Specialist Oppinion needed Desperately.?
I have a 97 honda accord and i am trying to get the rotors off. I have taken off the shaft nut and pulled off the caliper and have taken the bolts off the round metal plate on that comes b/4 the rotor on the shaft. At this point the Rotor moves freely behind the round metal plate but the plate will not pull off? I tried a puller and it slides up and down on the shaft (no pun intended) but it seems to be held on some how still? Any brake specialists out there? I have the tools but not the know how. Any help much appreciated. Thanks
the best thing to do is put it back together and take it to a shop with an on the car brake lathe to have the rotors resurfaced on the car, if you need to replace the rotor I would highly suggest you take it to a shop who has worked on accords.
