How do you ratchet a crowfoot wrench?
I'm about to purchase a crowfoot wrench set to replace the fuel filter in my car, and was just wondering how you go abouts turning the thing. Its the type that goes on a 3/8" drive extension, and intuitively it doesn't seem as you can simply ratchet it, since the drive socket in essence spins around the center of the bolt, if you understand what I'm saying.... its hard to explain, but it just doesn't seem like it would work, but then again I have a simple mind.
Can you just go ahead and ratchet a crowfoot like normal, or is there a different technique you need to use?

You don't ratchet a crow's foot wrench. I find it easier to use it with a breaker bar. Once you move the fitting enough to to remove it & then get another grip on the fitting.
