Befor the clutch went out on my 300z tt the it was making a humming noise when i press the pedal?
I am finding that the clutch is a kit so does this mean i have to replace the fly wheel also seeing as i am new to this and I don't know which of the thing has gone wrong. All i know is now the car runs but doesn't move. Also any special tools i may need to fix it other that wrench and ratchet set
when you press the clutch in, the noise is coming from the throwout bearing.
when you do a clutch swap, make it your worthwhile and replace everything so you dont have to drop the tranny again. You should get a clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel, throwout bearing and a pilot bearing.
For install you will need a jack, some jack stands, wrenches, sockets, lots of EXTENSIONS, and a TORQUE WRENCH. a tranny jack will make the install a lot easier, but its not necessary
