where are the screws on white westinghouse door seal?
White Westinghouse Refrigerator
Model WRD4598D
The online help shows the tools for adjusting the magnetic strip in the vinyl seal around the freezer door, however, the screws are not visible. I've seen articles where people have reinstalled a new
one, however my refrigerator vinyl is in good shape. Two years ago the magnetic strip needed replacement, but the
screws are not visible. How does one get to the screws without destroying the vinyl seal?
I have repreated gone around the freezer door seal tryng to locate the screws to no avail.
I'm sure adjusting the magnetic strip is not rocket science but the screws to remove it are.
If the vinyl is in good shape leave it alone.
The screws are not visible because the vinyl strip is over the top of it. Or more than likely close to outer surface of the insulation to get the magnet as close as possible to the metal refigerator/freezer metal to pull as hard as possible to keep the doors shut.
To get to the screws you need to remove the strip and insulation. With the dried adhesive the strip will be torn or ripped.
