my lawnmower won't start, new plug/air filter/cleaned carb?
I have a Craftsman 6HP push mower that won't start. It was sitting in the shed outside for about 2 years totally unused. I changed the oil and emptied the old gas left in the bowl, the tank was already empty. I have put in a new plug and air filter as well as cleaned the carb and nut jet. It fires a few times and then dies, no smoke out of the muffler though.
I don't know what kind of carb your mower has but changing the diaphragm on mine did the trick.
