Why do I hear my hard drive work through my headphones?
I have a set of headphones plugged in the audio socket...And I hear my hard drive process information in my headphones. You know..That sound that your computer makes when you are installing new files, moving files etc.. Sounds like a hungry stomach..
Any reason for this? I'm just curious.
its all in the quality of your headphones. most headphones you get off the shelf are shielded against magnetic interference but if you happen to find a really cheap pair or a really off brand they may not be shielded. There may also (very unlikely) be a short crossing over your line out for your headphones. My advice to you is borrow someone elses headphones or try a couple pair and test the difference. If the sound is still there get your computer looked at by a professional.
