Why have the smartest people in the history of the world, have been men and not women?

Who have been the best inventors? They are people like that Jew Einstein, and people like Thomas Edison.

The only thing women invented was that hair straightener.

Albert Einstein - was born on 14 March 1879 and Thomas Edison - was born in 1847. During this time women were excluded from higher education it was not until 1833 that Oberlin College was founded. It was the nations first university to accept women, when it accepted 4 women students. Not until 1877 did the first woman obtain a Ph. D. At this time the only acceptable occupations for working women were limited to factory labor or domestic work. Women were excluded from the professions, except for writing and teaching.

Women were even banned from nursing in hospitals, the law and medice. the American Medical Association barred women member or from attending "men's" medical colleges. Women at this time had very limited lives not until the 1840's and 50's were the first laws passed allowing married women to own property separate from their husbands. In divorce the husband kept legal control of both children and property. They did not even get the vote till 1920.

Women have not had equal access to education and employment for more than a few decades so it is hardly surprising that the major discoveries and inventions were made by men. What is amazing is that many women at this time did step out of the mold and if you really believe that the only thing they invented was hair straighteners I will enlighten you.

1843 Ada Augusta Lovelace, laid some of the early conceptual and technical groundwork for high technology by helping develop an early computer. - In 1845, Sarah Mather received a patent for the invention of a submarine telescope and lamp. - Emeline Hart, invented and patented the first commercial oven in 1876. - Amanda Theodosia Jones developed the vacuum canning process to preserve food. Her process became the standard canning method in this country following its patent grant in 1873.
1893. A unique safety elevator invented by multi-patent holder Harriet Tracy and a device for lifting and transporting invalids invented by Sarah Sands - The first working automatic dishwasher was invented by Mrs. Josephine Garis (W. A.) Cochran, of Shelbyville, Illinois, in 1889.

A variety of medical instruments and devices were invented and patented by women during the nineteenth century, including sterilization techniques and devices, medical beds and chairs, the hyperdermic syringe, field ambulances and stretchers, splints, and an improved speculum. The modern intravenous drip was developed by a team which included Justine Wanger, who worked during the first half of this century. She also helped develop resuscitation techniques for victims of electric shock, and cryogenic therapy to destroy cancer cells.

All these and more were invented by women before the vast majority had access to more than a rudimentary basic education. Since this has changed far more women are patenting inventions

Grace Hopper who devised the first compiler, a program that translates instructions for a computer from English to machine language. Hopper developed a common language with which computers could communicate called Common Business-Oriented Language or COBOL - Stephanie Kwolek invented one of the modern world's most readily recognized and widely used materials: Kevlar. it use includes bullet proof vests. - Actress Hedy Lamarr (Hedwig Kiesler Markey) with composer George Antheil invented a secret communication system The invention, manipulated radio frequencies between transmission and reception to develop an unbreakable code so secret messages could not be intercepted. - Elizabeth Lee Hazen and Rachel Brown combined their efforts to develop the anti-fungal antibiotic drug Nystatin. The drug, patented in 1957 was used to cure many disfiguring, disabling fungal infections as well as to balance the effect of many antibacterial drugs. In addition to human ailments, the drug has been used to treat such problems as Dutch Elm’s disease and to restore water-damaged artwork from the effects of mold. - Gertrude B. Elion patented the leukemia-fighting drug 6-mercaptopurine in 1954, Imuran, a drug that aids the body in accepting transplanted organs, and Zovirax, a drug used to fight herpes. -

There are far more than can be fitted in the space allowed. Maybe in another hundred years of equal opportunities for women we will finally be able to stop men using this stupid argument to put women down.
