Do I need to have both regular and impact socket?
I'm a student learning about auto mechanic and I don' have that much money to spend on tool. I was wondering if I can get a set of impact socket instead of regular socket to use. Aren't their the same? so what the point of having impact and regular
impact sockets are a little thicker then regular six point sockets. im a mechanic and if i was starting out i would buy a good brand of 6 or 12 point point sockets with stamped or lazer etched sizes on them. and buy you an off brand impact socket they work just as good. there are times you need that little extra room to get the socket on bolt or nut.
