LADIES: What do you think of women who adorn the covers of "Men's" magazines?
Like the biker/car/sports magazines. Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition for example. Where's the line between tasteful expression of beauty and trashy? I truly don't understand. Is it the type of magazine? The model's build? It seems like well-endowed women who pose scantily-clad are automatically labeled as tramps, but slim, comparatively less-shapely women in bikinis are OK. How is this determind? Society's "rules?"
It doesn't bother me too much. Men like to look at women like that, but most of them will end up with a normal woman. As much as society likes to deny it, men actually want company and someone they can talk to. Those women on the cover represent an ideal rather than reality. I've never taken them seriously as competition or a threat or anything I'd like to be. If a man insisted on those kind of specs in a woman, he might find that the reality was pretty underwhelming anyway.
