Biker Set Jacket

in a book or a play set in usa.. a teacher sets homework for his class of teenagers to find some poetry.. next day the class read out some nondescript stuff, all except for the leather-jacketed biker type. Who reads out a bit of what I am sure was a.e.cummings which was about a hotrod or motorbike but as an alogory for sex.

a e was a missremember, he was a prolific poet, I have scoured the cummings section of library and bookshop to no avail. I am not even certain that the work was his. It was pre internet days when I heard it on the radio. (UK radio 4).
I was hoping that somebody might have remembered the original drama which I think was in narative form.
