My kitten has a bald sore on her neck, and it's spreading. HELP!?
Okay, so my friend game me this kitten in May, we don't know how old it is and I haven't had the time to take her to the vet. Everything seemed fine with her until I noticed she started balding on her neck, it was small at first then it got bitter. It's not just a bald spot though it's kinda greasy looking. Like it's wet or something, there is also blood on it sometimes. Then a few days later I started to noitce she had scabs on the inside of her ear. She has also started getting bloody patches behind her ears. It can't be fleas because I gave her a bath and there was NO fleas. Plus this kitten is terrified of the outdoors.
Is there any home remidies that I could use to make this stop? I was thinking since I have a HUGE other cat maybe they were playing to rough? Idk, but I can't take this kitten in to the vet if it's anything to serious, because we just spend $2000 on my that passed away from eagle attack.
It' a skin infection and it's treatable. Well, it may not be a skin infection, it could be a parasite called mange. Either way; treatable. No worries, a vet can give you an easy-to-pay (and do) wash for either one. Hope this helped, good luck and I hope your cat gets better.
