I'm really into fashion, but this skirt has me confused!?
Well like i stated above, i am very interested in fashion and will be majoring in fashion merchandising this fall. Most of my wardrobe consists of retro, vintage, and old-fashioned pieces since i am really into vintage, classic fashions from every era. Well since i'm graduating high school this year there are tons of banquets i have to attend and i have this one skirt in mind to wear for one of them, but i really need your help. It's a mini skirt that goes to about my mid thigh (i'm 5'1" so it's not as short as it sounds haha). It's a very light, pale, washed-out pink color. It's meant to be worn higher up on your waist and it's flowy with a rose lace pattern. If you can picture that?? Anyway, what top and shoes would you wear with something like this??? Would you go for something more edgy for the top/shoes since the skirt is so feminine? Any of your input will be helpful! i want to know your opinions! 
I would probably try to get it a little more edgy, cause I think that it sounds very girlie.
Maybe a one shouldered, top with heels or intricate sandals. as I can't see the color of the skirt I wont recommend colors, as I don't know what would clash. But from the sounds of it a simple black t with a pretty necklace could also look really classy. I would go for a girlie statement necklace to help tie in the shirt with the skirt
