How do install headlights on my dirtbike?
i want to know how to install headlights on my dirtbike, i have a 125cc Giovanni off road motocross and i dnt know the year.It is a 4-Stroke single-cylinder AIR COOLED engine and it is a kick start. it has a Magneto: Permanent magnetic but i juss need to know how to install head and tail lights. if i need a alighting coil what type would i need and what type of lights would i need and where would i be able to buy this stuff?
The charging system is probably not up to it. I dont know anything about your model but as far as the major jap brands go if they dident come with lights or a starter from the factory the stator does not have enough output to run a headlight. For some brands you can buy a higher output stator and some brands you have to get the stock stator rewound (more windings = more juice) search the web for stator rewinding. Or look around locally a shop that rebuilds electric motors, starters, or alternators. Any business that does that should be setup to rewind a stator.
