what car for my 16 year old?
considering cars for my 16 year old boy
the cars the rest of the family drives is relevant i think when it comes to what he'll expect:
me: '08 aston martin db9 (175k) and a old honda civic for low-key drives
wife: '07 porsche cayenne
daughter (19 years old): '05 porsche carrera
personally i feel i can get him a mediocre car and he can take one of ours if he ever needs to impress
for all the kids out there, do u feel u need a car comparable to ur parent's car or is it no big deal?
some starting ideas include: '08 bmw 3 series, '08 porsche boxster
any other ideas? price of car, insurance, and repairs no problem
Agree with Sandee, why dont you go get your son a bus ticket pass,this will keep his feet firmly on the ground & let him think the value of where the money comes from & more to the fact other peoples lives will be at stake to allow a 16 year old boy out on the public highways with a powerful BMW under him.

At 16 we are all hard headed & think its ok Dad will pay all the costs for my driving (i wished)Someone needs to take a very long hard look at the facts before he allows his Son out on our roads dont you think Dad?????
