how to choose version of star wars movie to watch?
i have the SW trilogy.each disk has the org. and enhanced versions.how do i choose the ver i want to watch.for example episode v has 1980 and 1997 versions, dvd menu does not give me the option of version to watch.would appreciate some help
Where did you get these DVDs? The reason I ask is because the 1997 versions were NEVER made available on DVD ... only VHS. The 1997 versions were the SE versions that were re-released to theaters in 1997. The only versions available on DVD are the original versions from 1977, 1980, & 1983 (they were released to DVD in 2006) and the DVD versions that came out in 2004. The DVD versions are the SE versions with more "enhancements" in sound, FX, with a couple more altered scenes.
What you have sounds like the 2006 release because when they came out they had the original version on one side of the disc and the enhanced version on the other side of the disc. If that is what is coming up on the menus and you didn't get it from an "official" outlet then you've been screwed with a bootleg copy of the movies. Sorry I couldn't be more help but this is a truly "weird" situation you're describing.
