making a p.a. system?

i have an old cb mic, and i was wondering what all i need to make the pa system for my truck. please give me an answer
the end of it is already stripped, but i have found the wires for the sound(on the mic) and i have found the wires for the power, i hooked it all up, but i need to find out what else i need to make it work, maybe amplifiers... a friend of mine told me to wind thin copper wire around the two tabs on the back of the speaker, it would amplify the sound, but he couldnt guarantee it would be clear sounding... i was just wondering if it would work, or if i would just be wasting my time

The CB it goes to could be helpful as some CBs have a PA option.
