ps3 to computer monitor via VGA port?
I have a ps3 with horrible wireless connection leaving me with one option for a connection: plugging it into the monitor and router through Ethernet cord. The monitor has one port and it's VGA. The computer is currently connected to the VGA port but i have no problem switching between when wanting to use them. My question is, will the standard RCA cord (i don't care about HD gaming) equipped with the ps3 work on the monitor if i were to purchase an RCA-VGA converter?
That will NEVER work. Don't even think it.
The PS3 has NO native VGA support. Those VGA-RCA adapter cables will NOT work with the PS3-- They are meant for video cards that have a specially-built VGA port capable of sending out an RCA TV signal, and will NOT work for any other purpose.
You want to use the PS3 with a computer monitor, the computer monitor will need to have either an HDMI jack or an HDCP-compliant DVI jack.
