The question of seat belts is far less obvious. The decision on whether or not you have to wear seat belts is down to the weight and age of your vehicle.

At the time of writing, this means that you do have to wear a seatbelt if your trike has an unladen weight of more than 410kg and was first used on or after 1 January 1965. Similarly, you would also need a seatbelt if your vehicle has an unladen weight of more than 255kg and was first used on or after 1 September 1970.

You can purchase plans online even in download able format. The prices rare exceed few hundreds (and often are under $100), but the plans contain everything you need.

As the name implies trikes are motorcycles that have three wheels. They give you the feeling of riding a bike combined with increased safety for you and any passenger you might have behind. The extra wheel provides extra stability to reduce the chances that you will be involved in an accident.

Modern trikes look more like motorcycles than like cars. They are more open than the old style trikes, allowing you to feel the wind on your face as you drive. These machines are also built for performance.

Riding a Goldwing Trike takes a little getting used to but the kit conversion has been done so well it gives that feeling of confidence which you get when your driving an expensive car, it corners great and the performance engineered suspension just makes it a dream to ride.
